 I would like to raise
as much money as possible for Bob and Mary. I am sorry
that it has taken as long as it has. The fundraiser
will consist of the following:
A beautiful piece of mosaic glass art will be donated
by Heather Clark.
She calls her creations, Mosaic Glass; and each piece
measures 3' by 1'. She just gets better with time.
Is this maturity or less red wine? Her art will become
far more valuable as people find out about her and
she is getting ready to bust out. Not at the seams.
I put a value her piece at $3,200. Thanks Heather.
The
frame for the art piece will be made of Cherry and
Mahogany by Doug Mansur. Yes, you know Doug, he has
been the resident carpenter here at the Eden House
since 1988. Actually, Doug is a cabinet maker. He learned
his trade here in Key West in the early 70's from Floyd
Sands (a Conch - born in Key West), a ship's carpenter.
Doug, discharged from the Navy, stayed in Key West,
befriended Floyd and it was uphill from there. I put
a value on his frame at $1,000. Thanks Doug. The Mosaic
piece and frame will go as one piece.
We will also be drawing for two different ONE WEEK
stays at the Eden House in a Deluxe room. Each drawing
will include dinner for two at the world renowned
Azur Café at the Eden House.
Items in the drawing now, with more to come:
~Highly revered Eden House towels and hats
~Trips on the beautiful Florida Keys water with
Sebago and
Danger
Charters.
Tickets will be $10 each and checks should be made
out to Bob Germany. No Cash please. I appreciate all
your support and I know Bob and Mary do too. I will
post a picture of Bob when we give him the check. I
am shooting for the magic number of $10,000, I hope
we get there or close. We will do the drawings when
we get close to our goal.
We had Bob's Fundraiser drawing in February. You
folks raised $6,570 for Bobby. Bob and I would
like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
