Yep, the music. Walked through the lobby today and caught J.J. Cale’s, ‘Crazy Mama’ from his album/CD, “Naturally” (1971). Does it get any better than that? Moving on to the topic at hand, Paste Magazine. See ya, Mike ![]() November 3, 2009
I have been criticized from the powers that be that my blog is often inappropriate and/or irreverent. Well, here I go again. Last night I was out walking my daughter’s dog, Detroit and I had a brain fart. Should I be picking up Detroit’s poop in a plastic bag or a biodegradable bag? Should I be putting his poop in a bag that will outlive me (fossilized poop) or an environmentally appropriate bag? I rushed home and ordered ‘poop’ bags from these fine folks at www.poopbags.com. I went with the BioBag Rolled Bags since Detroit is a small dog and I am not transporting a lot of poop. This is just a though and I wanted to mention it. You do pick up Rover’s poop, don’t you? (an exercised dog is a happy dog and the walk will do you good) ![]() October 22, 2009
As promised – John Frinzi’s latest CD, “Shoreline”. John has just released it and it is a ‘keeper’ (ain’t throwing this one back). Tom Corcoran co wrote several of the songs, adding to his bag of tricks. You can listen to the cuts and purchase the disc from CD Baby within the next month (I hope/think). The music sounds like it was wafting through the streets of Key West in the 70″s. John will be preforming at the Eden House during happy hour on November 1st. Does it get any better than that? Cold drinks and good music. ![]() August 28, 2009
We, at the Eden House are saddened to hear that Michael, Drew and Azur will be moving on. For the month of September that is. Yes, the boys are taking off the month of September to recharge their batteries and come up with some new ideas to make Azur even better. I can’t imagine how….let’s wait and see. Boys, keep the lavender creme brule on the menu or circle the wagons. Have a nice vacation and we’ll see you the ![]() August 25, 2009
Mr. Clean is one happening dud. His Magic Eraser that is. Has anyone out there ever used these squirrelly little things and/or have an opinion on them? They are white 3 by 5 inch sponge objects and are amazing. Go with the PRO model, they last much longer. The commercial says ‘three times longer’. Just wet them and your dreams have been answered. You can clean canvas, leather, sports shoes, walls and on and on and on. We are using them in housekeeping and my daughter uses them in her classroom. I have used them on my spiffy canvas MBT’s and a leather bag. WOW! Let me know what you think of them. Got to get back to my cleaning. See ya ![]() Now for a walk into the unknown. I am trying to intrigue you to read on. Has it worked? Flower essences is where I am going with this note. My sister-in-law, Carolyn Eden, has been preparing flower essences for many years and I have taken them off and on for at least five years. If you are at a crossroad in your life and things seem a bit jumbled you might consider giving Carolyn a call. It can’t hurt and who knows it just might open a new door for you. At times we can all use a little help or a new perspective. Mention you heard about her from this blog I am sure you can get the August special even if it has expired. As Jim Morrison said, “push on through to the other side.” Though, Jim was using drugs and not flower essences. http://www.floweressencespractitioner.com// ![]() |
